 The Poor Child's Victory - English Poem on Struggle of Life Written by Amrit Sahu

In a world of poor and child's plight,

A young soul yearned for a simple delight,

His heart longed for a toy, vibrant and grand,

But knew his family's struggle, financial strands.

With ardent eyes, he wisely killed desire's spark,

For their economic condition left a permanent mark,

Maturity embraced him in his tender years,

As he battled for food and choked back his tears.

Oh, the other child, blessed with wealth untold,

His parents' money, a tale yet to unfold,

Indulging in desires, no understanding he holds,

Of the true value of money, how it unfolds.

His wishes fulfilled by his parents' ample wealth,

Yet complaints escaped his lips, speaking of stealth,

Unaware of the struggles that the poor child faced,

For he knew not the emptiness, love replaced.

Two contrasting tales, their paths intertwined,

One marked by poverty and strength combined,

The other engulfed by privilege's dangerous jest,

Unaware of worth, as he puts parents to the test.

But what the rich child fails to comprehend,

Is the lessons learned by the poor child, my friend,

For in maturity's embrace, the poor child grew,

Understanding the value of money, false dreams to pursue.

So judge not, dear friends, by possessions or gain,

For struggle and resilience bring strength through pain,

The poor child's victory, not measured by wealth,

But in wisdom gained, understanding oneself.
